How it works

Online multiplayer, real time. One Fixed match, step by step.

    Ban

    Each player bans one piece. Usually the one you fear most.

    Secret draft

    Build your army from the offers. The offers are the same for everyone (no favoritism).

    Deployment

    Place your pieces on your two home ranks, however you like.

    Battle

    Play online, rated. Capture the king. No small talk.

Fixed

Seven pieces plus your king. Choose well: there is no second try.

Budget

8 to 25 points to spend. Strong pieces cost more, obviously.

Story

A single-player campaign. Evolve and fuse your pieces along a branching, Slay-the-Spire-style map.

The pieces of Last Gambit

All the classics and more than 18 original pieces: the Phoenix (dies, is reborn, goes back to bothering you), the Summoner, the Void Queen (off one edge, back on the other), the Catapult, and others a purist would report to the authorities.
